OHSAA Tournament Brackets Released

The OHSAA Division III Northeast District held its tournament draw meeting on Sunday February 7, 2016.  The DUKES will begin play at home on February 23rd as they host Rittman.  Game time is 7pm.  The winner of that game will then advance to play Oberlin who elected to receive a 1st round bye.  The district

There have been some minor changes in the upcoming weeks schedules for girls basketball at the High School level. The Girl’s Basketball game at home on February 13th against Western Reserve has been moved to a 2:00PM JV Start with Varsity Following.  This will also be Senior Day for 5 members of the Lady Dukes

Junior High Girls Boast 7-2 Records

The junior high girls basketball teams have been very successful this year so far. Even though the 7th grade team lost to Columbia last night, they still boast a great 7-2 record on the year. The Wellington Dukes wrestling team competed in the Regional semifinals last Wednesday at Rootstown. In the semifinals the team faced off against Independence. Wrestlers Advance In State Dual Competition

The Dukes wrestling team won its two OHSAA State Tournament Duals last night against Warrensville Heights and Columbia. The Dukes will now move on in Region 19 against Independence, Rootstown, and Waterloo. The Dukes beat Warrensville Heights 47-20 and Columbia 45-30.
