PAC Media Day at Dave and Buster’s

The inaugural Patriot Athletic Conference Media day was held last night at Dave and Buster’s. Media such as the Chronicle Telegram and G.L.W. Wellington claimed 3 first team Patriot Athletic Conference selections between the girls and boys soccer teams. For the girls, Rachel Barletta was chosen as a first team player for the stars division and Senior Mackenzie Calfo was given a second team nod. The Patriot Athletic Conference will hold it’s first ever media day for winter sports this Thursday, November 12, at Dave and Buster’s in Westlake. Coach Sedlick Inducted into Ohio Wrestling Hall of Fame

Fall Sports Season Recap

Boys Soccer   5-11-2 The Stars division was very competitive this year. Wellington was only three wins behind the top team in the division. The boys managed to secure a first round playoff win and will look to build on that success for next year. The team will only lose one player to graduation this year

Carevic, Porter Put Up Big Numbers In Loss

The final home game of the year was able to be played at home thanks to a generous donation by Lad Harrison of Brother’s Chevrolet. Subway Presents Athlete of the Month Award

Starting in the winter sports season, Wellington High School athletes will be selected for a “Dukes Athlete of the Month” award. Subway has generously donated gift cards for all of the winners. Each month a male athlete and a female athlete will be selected for the award. Winning athletes will be highlighted on the website

Halloween Practice

This morning the girls basketball team got to have a little extra fun at practice. The girls and coaches dressed up in Halloween costumes to celebrate the holiday. The girls were very enthusiastic about the idea as almost all of the girls showed up in a costume. It was a good way for the girls
